VISUAL SEQUENTIAL NARRTIVE

For my visual sequential narrative I decided to share the process of recreating an iconic photo. I got this idea by reminiscing during quartine about my adventures and came across hundreds of photos of me twirling. Then I decided to combine some of those photos to share my process and added Julie Andrews to hint at the Sound of Music.

  1. This is an awesome and whimsical image! I love the literal representation of a sequence with the dancing lady. The shadows you've added are very well done, too. Great job!

  2. I think you've done a really good job with this image. Dorothy's description of it being whimsical is very fitting and overall it's just a fun happy image to look at!

  3. This image is really fun! It looks like a photo someone took, I'm not sure if you want to go down this route but I feel like all your past stuff is colorful so it would be cool to add some cool colors, like pastels or something different maybe?

  4. I really like your idea for this project! I would say you could go a little further with editing some of the background to match the fun and free feeling of the rest of the image. But overall, It's really greats so far!

  5. I think the use of an iconic like that is creative and interesting. I feel like there is some larger narrative quality missing from the image, but that could just be me.

  6. You did a really good job of making all of the elements of this image blend together- the music notes add a really nice touch. Maybe try emphasizing one feature to create a central point of focus. Looks great!

  7. This is an interesting idea of using elements of you twirling to make a visual narrative. I feel as if you do not need the image for emphasis. I would try to create a focal point to emphasize a certain part of your narrative.

  8. I really enjoy this. It is playful and uplifting and nostalgic all at the same time. I agree with Jessica because its hard to focus on just one thing in this. Maybe just emphasize one singular cutout either you or the sound of music lady.

I think this is a really cool idea! I think you could mess with the main picture that’s from the movie and make it look even cooler with colors and movement!
